Physiotherapy

What is a Physiotherapist?

Physiotherapists are 4-year university trained health professionals who treat muscle, joint and soft tissue related pain. Physios work across many healthcare sectors, but at Ethos Health we typically see people of all ages to treat injuries sustained through sport, work, home activities, or pain of gradual onset.

Our physiotherapists are registered with all major private health insurers, Medicare, WorkCover NSW and The Department of Veterans Affairs.

How can a Physiotherapist help?

At Ethos Health, we expect you will leave your first physio consultation feeling better and with a clear understanding of;

  • Your diagnosis and the factors contributing to your injury
  • Whether you are likely to need scans or medical specialist follow up
  • Your treatment plan and likely timeframe to return to full activity
  • What to do (and what not to do!) to accelerate your recovery – an active recovery works best, so our job is to help you find ways to keep moving that won’t hurt and will help maintain your fitness, strength and mobility.
